President Kennedy poses with local business leaders following
a Salmon lunch on the World's Fair construction site. April 6, 1961.
He had spoken at a Youth Council breakfast that morning in the old
Cascade Hotels' (right) Pioneer Room.
On the back of his speech he had calmly jotted:
This place has a draft like an Artic wind and it reeks of rotted wicker
and what smells like corned beef.
We heard weird child laughter and Indian tom-toms...
Bizarre - much like when young Teddy spikes my Irish Coffee!
